Karisa & Scott // Wedding at Oglebay in Wheeling, WV
Daniel and I were thrilled to be heading on a mini road trip for Karisa and Scott’s wedding. This mini road trip took us to Wheeling, West Virginia. It was unusually cold and overcast but that was happy change from the rest of the “summer” we’d been having. When we arrived at Oglebay, my brain instantly went into overdrive and my head was spinning. PHOTO LOCATION OVERLOAD. If you’ve ever been, YOU UNDERSTAND. From the Mansion, greenhouse, wide open spaces, golf course, zoo, park, mini golf, lodge, THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. Guys, I was seriously freaking out. It was stunning.
We headed to the reception and ran into our lovely bride hard at work getting everything ready before creating a game plan for the day. Totally necessary because of all the AMAZING locations. Now, one of my favorite moments of the day was the fact that Karisa told everyone (except the groom) that they were doing a surprise First Look. She told Scott that a First Look would be happening but it was everyones job to make it a surprise. If you take your time going through these images you will notice me and the bride in the background and even the bride shushing us to make sure Scott doesn’t turn around. THIS WAS SUCH A FUN TIME!! These are some of my favorite images. She played pranks on him all day!
So, here’s to many many years of full body laughs and forever remembering the day we stole all the amazing photo spots from a bunch of High Schoolers just trying to take nice photos for Homecoming!
How They Met
Our’s has a social media beginning. Scott actually added me on Facebook and we started talking on Messenger. Eventually, we met up for a real date at Undos about a week later. That date turned into a date every night to follow ☺️
Shout out to the boys for keeping Scott occupied enough for Karisa and I to sneak to the front of the mansion! You see us in this image above! We thought for sure he was going to turn around but he didn’t.
The proposal happened a week after we had Sydney, we had already signed papers but he wanted to make sure I had the ring. He planned for us to take Sydney on her first outing down this walking trail by our house and found a quite spot with just Sydney and I.
