LET'S TALK BOUQUETS
Hey Brides! Today in honor of Valentine's Day, I'm chatting about bouquets. If you are anything like me you love pretty things. Flowers are one of those wonderful joys of the wedding day. They are always so different and I can't wait to see yours.
But, how do you make sure those lovely flowers stay just as beautiful as the moment your florist dropped them off? What do you do with them after your florist leaves? I'd like to give you just a few simple tips to help with just those questions:
Keep your bouquets in water: your florist will give you vases of water for your flowers, keep them in those vases as long as you can. Even if you have a first look, once you finish simply stick them back into the water until you walk down the aisle.
Have something to dry the stems before holding them: it can be tissue, paper towel, or a cloth. Most bridesmaids dresses are easily "stained" by the water or it simply leaves a mark on the dress so it's beneficial to have the cloth to dry the flower stems.
Carry your bouquet at your waist. That way you all have the same poised look coming down the aisle. You picked out those beautiful bouquets so why not look good carrying it and show it off. Your guests get a perfect view of those lovely flowers!
Make sure to remember that these are simply words of wisdom and not absolutes. If you think it works for you, I'm so glad I could help. If you think they don't fit your vibe, I'm so happy you know you enough to realize that!
Happy Planning and Happy Wedding Day!
