WE ARE THE LOVELACE’S

Hello! Our story starts in college while we both were psychology majors. Yes we both have degrees in psychology, and yes it does make our lives a little more interesting. We didn’t talk much until we both happened to decide to go on a research study trip to Ghana, Africa. We had no internet, no friends, and no way to contact the outside world. Okay, I’m being a bit dramatic, but we were forced to really step outside our comfort zones and try new things. Everyone on the trip told Daniel and I that we were like two peas in a pod and that’s where it all began. Daniel and I started dating a month after returning from our Africa trip and only dated for three months before he proposed and I SAID YES! I was never the girl who thought of wedding planning or anything like that (don’t you love the irony of me being a wedding photographer and knowing all things wedding now??) The only wedding related detail I thought about was how cool it would be to get married on July 12th. It seemed like the perfect date! Very “Miss Congeniality” of me I know, BUT it turns out without even realizing it Daniel and I started dating on July 12th 2013, and when we were planned our wedding we had to come up with a date… and July 12th popped into our heads and just so happened to fall on a SATURDAY the following year! I like to think it was meant to be.

It really is the little things.

Daniel and I were married back at the campground I grew up on in Wisconsin. We are the opposite of high maintenance so it really did feel rather fitting for us to have a camping theme. All of our friends and family drove the 14 hours north to my hometown staying in tents and campers the days around our wedding. It was simple and magical all wrapped into one. Don’t worry, you’ll all be able to read my blog about our wedding day soon! Until then, check out our photos and learn a little bit more about us. We like to live as authentically as we can.

Daniel Lovelace

I’m Daniel. You’ll find me taking pictures, making videos, adventuring, drinking coffee at any and all the local coffee shops, and hanging with the wife.

My start to this world was film cameras in a dark room way back in high school, point and shoot cameras from Walmart, and dumb comedy videos in college. A camera has always been in my hands, and now it’s literally what I use to make a living.

Dogs are better than cats (sorry it’s true), I’m an aspiring skate boarder, and a bucket list box I’d love to check would be to visit every continent, and all the “world wonders” in my lifetime.

Being a creative is seriously the best job ever, and I can’t wait to get to know you to tell your story.

Gina Lovelace

Heyyy, I’m Gina! You’ll usually find me binge watching a random Netflix show/movie, taking care of my MILLIONS of plant babies, running, or seriously just adventuring with my favorite human ever.

We are really big on adventures. We like to think that any moment is a moment for adventure, even if it’s just heading to the grocery store because those are the moments you remember. So, whether it’s climbing a mountain or finding new photos locations we live for those moments. We hope one day you’ll come along with us OR if we are lucky enough we can come along on one of your next adventures.

We have fully accepted our nomad life and truly embrace it. We were made for the open road, city life, deep wooded walks, mountain cliffs, sandy beaches, and EVERYWHERE our feet will take us. We love to travel, which was a huge driving force in us purchasing our van. Yes, a VAN. It’s our newest dream and passion. It also will take us where our hearts lead. We have decided to live simply, waste less, and truly own the things we own. Things were made for a purpose and we feel like we were made for adventure. Adventure to us means so many amazing things and helps us to feel things in the most real way. Adventure is truly living. That’s what we want to be known for.
